We have used many power meters over the years and finally found the ultimate power meter - Favero Assioma DUO.
We needed a power meter that provided best in class accuracy, and the following key features...
- Easily change between bikes - many of our athletes have different bikes for different disciplines.
- No changing of batteries - eliminates issues with drop outs and also improves reliability by eliminating a liquid ingress point.
- Rechargable and Long battery life - consistency of power data between training indoors and outdoors is so important when assessing performance.
The unique, and super easy recharging of these power meters means that using this power meter indoors is so much easier and more convenient than a conventional power meter with replacable batteries. So even if you don't have an accurate turbo trainer, you can get consistent power readings by using the Assioma indoor and outdoor. We found battery life to be staggeringly good, and really easy to monitor using the app.
On a similar note, we have independently tested the Assiomas against the defacto standard 'Wahoo Kickr' turbo trainer and found the readings to track consistently over the full power range. Simple easy calibration - with the Assiomas, it is only necessary to calibrate once after changing bikes - but through experience we found that this one off calibration isn't really neccessay to achieve an accurate reading.
Dual sided - the extra information we receive from dual sided readings is crucial and means we can iron out any underlying issues with our athletes. Any imbalance in left to right leg power can easily be idenfied and addressed. It is not uncommon to find imbalances of 4% and above - which means the Duo setup gives a far more accurate power reading and will be consistent with your Turbo trainer.

What Favero Say Engineered for extreme accuracy on your training sessions, these power meter pedals feature a power sensor on both the left and right pedals. Designed with breakthrough technology, this power meter uses IAV Cycling Dynamics and is mounted directly on both pedals for real balance data and not estimates. By using the integrated gyroscope, this model also provides advanced pedal metrics for an incredibly detailed analysis of your pedalling for each leg. IAV Power System
Many power meters calculate power using the Average Angular Velocity (AVG) per rotation, instead of the instantaneous Angular Velocity (REAL) value: this may introduce an additional error, up to 4.5% compared to the declared accuracy. Assioma, thanks to its exclusive IAV Power system and an integrated gyroscope, measures the actual instantaneous angular velocity to guarantee the same ±1% degree of accuracy with any style of pedalling, even with oval chainrings.
Automatic Temperature Compensation
Rain, snow, mud, or sweltering heat: Automatic Temperature Compensation (ATC) ensures exact, consistent watt measurements in any weather condition at temperatures between -10°C and 60°C.
Waterproof, Resistant and the Lightest Ever Made

Easy to Install: Install and transfer your Assioma from one bike to another just like normal pedals, easily and without extra tools. Just screw them on your bike crank arms and you are ready to pedal!IAV Cycling Dynamics: Assioma supports the advanced metrics IAV Cycling Dynamics: IAV Power Phase and IAV Rider Position. These metrics, combined with the classic power data, allow analyzing in details the pedaling technique and how the cyclist's position on the bike influences performances.
IAV Power and Gyroscope: Unlike others, the measurements of Assioma are not affected by errors related to very irregular pedaling (eg. sprint uphill) or the use of oval chainrings. This is because Assioma is able to detect the actual instantaneous angular velocity of the pedal stroke, thus giving you the degree of accuracy of ±1% in any situation. Not only in the laboratory.
